Puan Nor Yati Binti Ahmad has been appointed as Professor Adjunct at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) on 15 November 2024. She is currently the Accountant General of Malaysia. She has 30 years of working experience as accountant in government sector at federal and state levels. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) Australia and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). She is also a board member of the International Public Sector Accounting Standard Board since January 2023. She has been a member of various task-based groups, especially in accounting areas. Currently, she is the Chairman of AGD’s Government Accounting Standard Advisory Committee, which issues the Malaysian Public Sector Accounting Standards (MPSAS), and the Chairman of Islamic Accounting Standard Committee which issues Islamic Accounting Standards for Baitulmal, Zakat and Waqf. In addition, she has also been appointed as a director on the boards of several statutory bodies and Malaysian Government-Linked Companies (GLCs). Puan Nor Yati holds a Master of Accountancy and Finance from the University of Adelaide, Australia, and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). |
